  • How To Run Doom 3 on all versions of Windows

I'm sure this question is going to come up a lot, so here is the answer.

If you just snagged your copy of Doom 3 and find you can't install it because you are not running Windows XP or Windows 2000, our very own One of the Twelve has come up with a way to overpass this limitation. All you will need to play Doom 3 on your non-Windows 2000/XP PC is your purchased Doom 3 CD, InstallShield Developer or Orca. Though this tweak has been confirmed for Windows Server 2003, it should work for Windows 98 and Me. Read more for procedure.

A friend of mine who works as a software developer tried the installshield method on his home PC [it worked like a charm]. I have no idea if the Orca method works though. and Install Shield isn't a cheap program to come by my friend "borrowed" a copy from his office..
