I love honest reviews, and this is a perfect example. Your suggestion of the appropriate use of this SSD is not just spin as a bandaid for the overall conclusion, just more honesty.
It could be argued that most low capacity SSDs will have the same limitations as this one does. But as you point out, this is not a typical SSD.
Regarding its use as an OS and basic programs only SSD, it could be but we should be more evolved in our expectations from SSDs at this time. Which is why I find all my sub-256GB SSDs not in use anymore, or used as download target, browser cache, small file incidental storage drives (such hardships...)
