so it installs the CDrom drivers so you can auto update the bios?

Ive seen all my systems (the ones with 98 anyway) boot to A drive. It happens when I put in the CD and choose "boot from CD", than choose "boot with CD support"
it shows up as A drive even tho there is no A attached.
I figured it was a RAMdrive, but now I can do it on my own! ;)
BTW I always do that to copy the win98 folder and run setup off the harddrive.

Been awhile since I loaded 98 on a machine. When it first came out a lot of machines wouldn't boot from cd, even some that had the option in the bios, so I just got in the habit of booting from a floppy when installing 98. Either I never installed it from a cd or I never noticed it at the time that it booted to the a prompt as well.
