  • USB driver problem

Hi, my last problem is that my internet keeps cutting out (Optus cable) and they optus techs said it is a problem with my usb drivers and I should do it through a network card. I'm sure when after I formatted I installed the drivers properly, what can I do to check if they are installed and or working properly?

Why he say's it's a USB problem, is because you use the RJ45 to USB adapter, and get your internet from your USB port. You need to get the latest drivers, and probably not a win9x OS to ensure that they are good. You can always check in Device Manager by right clicking on My Computer and going to the hardware tab, and clicking Device Manager. From there you can see all your hardware :afro: Most likely the best drivers are for Win2000/WinXP as people nowadays seem to stop developing their drivers for older win9x OS's, but they continue the updates for Win2000/WinXP.
