blue screen help!!!!

i wonder if its my hd that gives me this prob... i got a 120 gig wd caviar ..its a brand new hd i just got a few days ago. my last hd was the same one and it pretty much is dead since it clicked and click like crazy.. so anyways after i installed xp pro into the computer i rebooted the computer and after i see the windows screen it brings gives me this blue screen. it goes like this

top: c0000221 unknown hard error
\system root\system 32\ ntdll.dll

that what the blue screen exactly says... can it be my brand new hd?? or what i dunno im lost pls help me i've lost a few bucks trying to do this i dont wanna lose any more :grr:

Have ya been to WD's website and downloaded their diagnostic software to check the drive?
That error indicates either driver problems, system file problems, disk corruption problems (such as a damaged pagefile), or faulty memory hardware.

i ran the wd diagnostics and it came up with no erros and i also reformatted my hd again and i still get the same error what else should i do now?

I suggest tryin' Memtest86 next to be sure that it isn't a memory prob.

BTW how did ya partition and format the drive? :?:

since i had another hdd with a prob i was gonna use this hdd for temporary use...so i just installed xp pro and made one whole partition

Sounds like a memory problem. Did you do what Wiggo said?
Lots of people just ignore memory problems and look elsewhere.
