something weird with my cpu.. help me plss

i just notice that my pc become unstable after switch on for 6-7 hours..
i easily get error/pc restarted while playing games during that time..

there is something wrong with sound too.. during that time, sound form games or mp3 or movie seem to be abit off(like lagging)..
something like tempo of the song become slower..
but after restart pc, everything seems to be normal again..

here my pc spec
mobo- GA ep45-ud3r
cpu- intel c2d E7300 2.66ghz
ram- 1gb kingston 800mhz ddr2 (x2)
hdd- seagate 500gb sataII 32m
graphic card- Galaxy 9600gt oc 512mb
psu- Cooler master 500w

Restarts are sometimes hard to pinpoint without quite a bit of troubleshooting but for starters if your running Win xp or vista try goggling the errors in your event viewer at the time of the lag and or restart for a possible solution. I'm guessing you should have a continuos pattern of errors in there somewhere pertaining to the problem points.
Random lag could be a program starting up in the background like spyware or a virus which could cuase restarts but then again hardware can also cuase restarts such as failing system ram, drives, or power supplies, ect. Even a setting such as in your OS or bios will cuase restarts.
