  • Low Memory Bandwidth Efficiency

    Hello,

After I run the Sandra 'memory bandwidth benchmark'I get the following tip:

"Low memory bandwidth efficiency (advanced test). Generally this means a setting is incorrect or set too 'safe' resuling in too low performance. Fix: Check memory timings (reduce) them or check other chipset or memory speeds".

I have a screen shot of the warning message(and the benchmark) and of my system info.

    System Info

As you can see the memory bandwidth efficiency is at 40%!
Which settings should I change to correct the problem and restore the memory bandwidth's efficiency?

    Cheers :)

Look in the bios under "advanced chipset" (or something similar) and see it the dram speed is set to "by SPD". If not, change it and see if it helps.

All background programs are closed, I tried lowering the memory timings by setting it to 'user defined' instead of SPD but hasn't fixed it. :tears:
