  • Wireless Adapter for Gaming?

I've been using my laptop at my college apartment this year, but starting summer, I will bring my desktop, and with that would also like to be able to play online games via the existing wireless router - could anyone recommend a reliable wireless adapter card or usb? Vista compatibility would be a real plus as well.

    Thanks a bunch.

    Re: Wireless Adapter for Gaming?

try to get one with a longer antenna, one of my dlink cards came with a deskmount antenna (ie has cable which allows placement of anetenna on desk with PC under desk) - works much better than an antenna mounted on the back of a PCI card.

stay away from USB wifi - usually have lots of problems.

I wouldn't recommend dlink but haven't used any other PCI cards

That helps a lot - I spotted this on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833315041

Has a lot of good reviews, and the antenna is wired.
The only gripe I have with it is for aesthetic reasons, but I guess it shouldn't be that bad..
