    Re: KVR1333D3N9/2G operating at 667hmz?

I've updated my bios to v.170 to see what's what and it seems that DRAM auto voltage is at 1.60v. So, minus that to get to where I wanted it to be. But most of the site I referred to set their voltage at 1.6v @ 1600Mhz. Even @ 1480Mhz one site went so far as 1.64v. Then my MSI Control Center currently show a 1.593 even if I lowered it to 1.573-1.578v in bios. So the right voltage for 1500Mhz should be close to 1.60v?

I'd start high and then lower, than way you know it works to begin with

There's Taiwan user who overclocked KVR1333D3N9K2/4G to 2000Mhz.

Nice to see 1333Mhz getting this high!

I got a set of Mushkin 1600Mhz to 2713Mhz in triple channel, check out the memory section of the forum if you want to check it out.

Well, mine refuse to boot even at 1650mhz, 999-24, 1.65v. But it runs 1500mhz, 787-20 now.

Maybe your BIOS is not fully compatible with the memory, or your set is partially faulty?

It's listed in MSI test report for standard factory spec operation but not in OC list. I guess I'm lucky enough getting my ram to cough a few Hertz higher than stock. There's no other rig around me that as easy as mine to overclock to test this stick.

Ahh well I guess it should work then, at least at spec anyway :)

I was wrong. It didn't cross my mind until I recall back what's in extrem's post and those higher factory clocked ram with 999-27 timing.

Starting at 1600Mhz 999-24, I set the timing to 9-11-9-27, kicked FSB to 170, auto voltage and the system is alive at 1700Mhz. YES! Restart and scored 1900Mhz with the same timing, 1.7+v. My stick did post at 2000Mhz 9-11-9-27 but OS failed to boot even after the third try. I will upload the images later.

Cool.. Wish you get a record high timing^^

Far from record finding as it's all stock cooling with added two casing fans which did not help much. Here are my findings. They are still raw as in no stress test or validation done but just here to exhibit what this ram can do and actually achieved. And yes thank you all especially Lsdmeasap and extrem. System hardware info is as what you can see in my signature.

                          i) Raw 1700Mhz, 9-11-9-27, 1.7+ v

                          ii) Raw 1900mhz, 9-11-9-27, 1.7+ v

                          iii) Refined 1700Mhz, 8-9-8-24, 1.620 v

As I said earlier, the system POST but OS refused to boot when it comes to 2000Mhz, 9-11-9-27. It says cannot find something within windows/system folder.

Currently I'm using setting (iii), no problem so far.

                            Try 9-12-9-31?

Or more dram and QPI voltage?

Elusive I must say. Couldn't get to real 1000Mhz in CPUz but just close to it.

Try more Vtt then you should be able too I would think, and maybe looser tRFC then you can probably use dual or triple even
