please share your wisdom, if you had to use this mobo what RAM would be best?

FIC AN19E, KT400, currently with 256mb DDR pc2700 from mushkin BUT i started playing BF1942 and subsequently feel ram raped :o should i get another of the same or what ? oh yeah, WIN98 btw, ok thanks in advance lads, n1. :afro:

A lot will depend on the CPU that ya use but typically VIA chipsets perform better with the memory runnin' at 33MHz faster than the CPU's FSB so a 133MHz (266DDR) CPU ya will require PC2700, 166MHz (333DDR) ones will need PC3200 and 200MHz (DDR400) will require PC3500 for the best performance. But with Thoroughbred and Barton cores the CPU is unlocked with this chipset so if ya want to lower the multiplier and raise the FSB to the next level then ya'll need to seriously consider PC3500 regardless (Spitfire, Morgan, Thunderbird and Palamino cores will need to be physically unlocked first).
