  • USB Headers.

    Hi all.
Total noob, and possibly getting in over my head from the off, but looking for advice.
Motherboard is ASRockSATA2-GLAN, and running W7 64 bit. OS irrelevant, I think, as problem was evident with previous XP.
As title of post indicates, a problem with the 2 USB headers on the pcb. Any device (ie front panel sockets) plugged into these headers seems to run at USB1, and yet the rear panel sockets, off the PCI slots, are USB2.
Is it a BIOS problem, or what?
Thanks in advance for any help, as I like to sort my own problems if poss!

    Re: USB Headers.

Did you install chipset drivers? If not you need to

Clearing your CMOS might help, and yes you would need to enable USB 2.0 in the BIOS if you did not already, but try the above first if you never changed anything in the BIOS and it worked previously
