Asrok K7VM2 processor upgrade

Hi all,newbe here,hope i'm posting in correct forum.I've just renewed my AMD duron 1400 processor with a athlon xp2400+ (AXDA2400DKV3C) in my old Asrock k7vm2 board.Problem is the pc starts but nothing happens,the fan runs ,also the power led is lit .Moniter goes into sleep mode with a blank screen.Reswapped processors over again & alls fine again.My BIOS version is 1.90. Any help & advice welcome. Thanks in advance.Bill.
