Re: asrock G41M-VS3
hello!
You can mount every video card with the wright supported slot (for example : pci-e 2.0).
But you must look for the following features befor you buy a new card: 1. slots from the Motherboard that is supported (please read at thirst the Motherboard-product-specification for yours)
2. minimum power supply unit you need for your card.
Important !: check your power supply unit that is installed befor you mount. The correct way to find out : the maximum needed power of your system (cpu, RAM, motherboard, hdd's, optical devices, air-flow, etc.) + the needed power of the new video card.
The video card needs power supply too when video card have enough performance (look the video card specification).
for example: your complete system needs 350 watt power , the video card needs 200 watt power, in reserve 100 watt (for future use) = 350+200+100=650 watt power supply unit.
Its better you have power in reserve on the power supply unit.My System: Mainboard G41M-S3 ,Intel G41/82801GB ICH7, Bios-Version: P1.40
