  • Question regarding the ASUS P4T533-C Intel 850E

Hi, I have a question regarding the ASUS P4T533-C Intel 850E 478-pin Pentium 4 Motherboard using 1066 RDram, On a site I was looking at the board says that it supports the 1066, but looking at the memory it states as a side note that 850e based boards run the memory effectively at 800 mhz, does anyone know why this is?

    Many Thanks

do u have a processor that supports 1066MHz FSB? at a guess, dual-quad (8x) pumped FSB would run at 800MHz. don't really know for sure. anyone else comments? I think I'd like to know, too

I really have no idea on the FSB speeds but I`ll be using the P4 3.06 ghz processor and am waiting for the Geforce FX to be launched before I buy so hopefully I`ll have an idea if I should get this board or start looking elsewhere maybe at the Granitebay ones.

        Quad pumped = 4 x

It will use that 1066 rambust when ya start overclockin' as it will get further than 800 rambust will. ;)
