choosing cpus

So i returned my 2800+ cuz i found out a 3000+ is only 20 dollars more... but now im stuck between a 3.0 ghz p4 or a A64 3000+. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a MSI K8N Neo mobo... i wish to overclock my cpu... which one is better for OC? gaming? performance? Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Only s754 A64 or Sempron CPU's will fit in your mainboard.

ic... i can return my mainboard if the 3.0 ghz is better... so...

For gaming stick with the A64.
