DVD recorder

OK, looks like Im going to get a DVD recorder!!!!
But the million dollar question is: + or -?
I dont know jack about DVD+-Rs. So any imput? I need it to work in most DVD drives if that helps.

People will yell and scream until they are blue in the face that one is better than the other. Personally, I've got a - drive and haven't had a problem yet. Some site did a test a while ago, and the - media piped out the + media by about 4% compatibility or something, so there's not a lot in it.

However, now you don't need to decide when buying a drive. New drives now support both media, such as the Pioneer A06. There's also a couple 8x drives out, but media for these is very hard to come by at the moment, so I don't know if it's worth spending extra for a faster drive which you can't use much at the moment anyway.
