  • I'm Looking...

..to upgrade my CPU from a 2500 Barton up to a Athlon 64 3200. Do you people think I should purchase now, or wait.

Just wait for the PCI-express motherboards to come, then upgrade mobo and CPU.

When are those supposed to be released? How much will they cost?

Myabe this summer. The motherboards ith PCI-Express won't cost much more than normal, it's the PCI-express cards that will cost a bundle. More than your processor will, for sure.

If you end up upgrading and getting PCI-Express, you're going to be essentialy replacing everything, not really upgrading. If you don't replace almost everything, you would be wasting the power of the rest of the system. You also might not have enough power or cooling...
Your system specs would be nice...

hmm...I would hate to have to do all that...anyways, Im actually interested in the Asus K8V motherboards, however I found that there is a K8V deluxe and a K8V SE deluxe. Is the "SE" Standard Edition?? And what is the main difference between the two?
