  • window xp dilema

I have a 60gb drive, and i divided into 2 drives, one is 43 and the other is 15(both window xp). It was working fine. But now when i boot up, the screen that let me choose which window or drive i want to use is now gone, can anyone tell me how to fix it, and i do not even know how that happened. I been stressing over it and looking for ways to fix, but if i cant find a solution i might just have to reformat the thing.

Try going to Control panel>system>Advanced> and click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and make sure the "time to display list of operating systems" is set to something like 30 seconds (not 0).

Hmm i checked everything seem to look fine, i restarted and left it there for like 10 seconds then the screen where i choose the window appeared. I wonder what is causing this boot stall, this never happened before.

wat were u doing while this happened?
it can happen cos of numerous reasons...may be u just tweaked it that way and didn't know what u were doingor a few buggy apps can corrupt your boot.ini or you might be having a virus.

Use Bootvis to speed up your booting...it should help resolve the problem.

I wasn't doing anything at all actaully, just came home, turned on the comp and pretty sure no one used it, and this happened.
