error after logon

  • error after logon

    i get this error just after i log into windows, anyone know what it is? everything works fine after that. is there a way i can fix it, or stop windows from looking for the file?

    were you hit by a virus? most probably you were and if you don't know about it then you still are effected by the virus. get a virus scanner (i recommend AVG. It is free too) and clean your system.
    then run MSCONFIG and check the startup tab to see if an item is trying to load CMD32.exe at startup.
    also check this
    1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon in the left pane.
    2. In the right pane, double click "Shell"
    3. The entry should be "Explorer.exe" instead of anything else.

      you are the man! its fixed. i was hit with a virus and nortons way of fixing it was just deleting it. it never was in msconfig under startup but i found it in shell in regedit. thanks a lot man now i dont have to worry bout that.
