Multiple XP's

ok i know someone has answered this in the past but i couldn't find the post, but i reformated and i reinstaled XP nad now i get two choices to load on teh start up screen. Both say "windows Xp home edion"

You can remove the extra one in C:\boot.ini (and you'll need to enable viewing hidden files to see this). See if both work and if one doesn't then it's the one to remove.

You can just get to the edit thing in the Advance Tab of the System Properties, then slick Startup and Recovery and you should see where to open it to edit it.

well i deleted the right one but now i have two options one is the usual "windows XP home edition" and the second option is "Windows (default)".
