Having this on a new install with XP Pro SP2 not 64 series. Computer specs are .....ASUS A8N32 SLI Delux, 939 Opteron 170 cpu three sticks of 1 gig corsair memory and a Maxtor 500 gig sata II HD 650 watt thermaltake power supply BFG PCIe 8800gt oc video card.....Any and all help is greatly welcomed.

Try reformatting the hard drive and start all over again.

If problems persist, its maybe the Windows XP 32 bit has a 2GB RAM limitation.

Thank You for your wisdom. Reformatted and removed a stick of memory and now it runs great. Is Vista worth getting yet or should I go with XPpro 64? I heard about all the bugs with Vista. Thanks again.

all OS have bugs, vista is the first one that seems to fix itself.

personally I quiet like vista but you need some grunt to run it, xp64 will handle the extra ram & run better the xp32 (newer kernal)
