My gf lost about 18GB of files in her music folder leaving only about 700MB but the hard drive space is still taken up. No, it's not the normal "Turn on view hidden files n00b!" situation. These things show up in a recovery program (a free one that doesn't have the names of the original files and a demo that does but wont recover) but there's no way to just recover them AND delete what is there but not there. Any suggestions short on reformating the drive? She only has 4GB left (40GB HD).
