Every once in a while, my computer has trouble coming out of sleep mode. It tries to start up, powers down, tries again, powers down, and will keep doing this until I shut it off. Once I restart, everything is okay until the next occurrence. This happens only occasionally. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64. Everything else seems to be working fine. Any ideas?

Re: Trouble Waking Up
I doubt this will help much in your case, but a lot of issues with wake up from standby has been caused by drivers, namely nVidias. Dropping back to a previous version cures the problem.
However, yours seems unlikely to be that. Is there a chance its a power supply issue? How often does it occur, just once in a while or fairly frequently?

Re: Trouble Waking Up
If I switch to sleep mode, I can run it for about a week before it begins malfunctioning. Then, I switch to hibernate for a few weeks, and then back to sleep mode, until it begins acting up again.
I have no nVidia drivers, I think. I have ATI video. The power supply is new and 650 watts. I am out of ideas and would appreciate any help you can offer.....Friendlyphil
