My school offers Norton Anti-Virus to everybody in the school. We download the corporate version off of their website. To connect to their website to download it, I have to use a VPN (virtual private network).
The problem is, Norton won't let me update without connecting to the VPN. Does anybody know a way to change the settings in Norton's Live Update that will allow me to update things without connecting through the VPN? I'd like to be able to update it when I am connected to the net regardless of the VPN so I can continue using Norton when I leave the school and can no longer log into the VPN.
Any suggestions?

P.S.: I know this probably isn't the right forum, but you guys seem knowledgable about everything computer related, not just XP.
