If the serial key appears to be correctly changed, and you went into Windows Update, and then you were told that there were 12 updates available for download, (one of them being SP1) would you be pretty sure that you were safe to download ??
Part 2- The XP Service Pack 1 was labled Express with a size of 1.9 MB and estimated time to download was 9 minutes with dial-up. I thought from reading other threads that this SP1 was very huge, and that it was taking over an hour ?? THanks for your comments, MikeW

i believe that the express install (the small one) scans ur computer and then d/ls only the files U need...as apposed to the 133meg network install that comes with everything
