Office xp serial changer

Re. xp service pack 1 serial change. Anyone know if there is procedure for Office xp - the sp1 won't install.

I tried this with sp1 and sp2 and it worked fine. You need to rename some of the files to do it on sp2 upgrade.

Worked great for me for sp1, but what files did you rename for sp2 to work?

After you downloaded the sp2 and unpacked it, then rename these files:

msiexec /p c:\office\MAINSP1_Admin.msp /a c:\office\proplus.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* c:\office\sp1Log.log

to:

msiexec /p c:\office\MAINSP2ff.msp /a c:\office\proplus.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* c:\office\sp2Log.log

and

msiexec /p c:\office\OWC10SP1_Admin.msp /a c:\office\owc10.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* c:\office\owc10.log

msiexec /p c:\office\Owc10SP2ff.msp /a c:\office\owc10.msi SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb /L* c:\office\owc10.log

remember to change to the directory to where you uninstalled sp1/sp2
