Hey,

I was just wondering if i buy a new mobo, processor, ram and vid card will I have to reinstall winxp or will it detect all the new settings and change automatically?

You might get lucky and have it work without formating and reloading Windows, but I would advise against it. Windows is so complex, and stores references to everything in so many places, that it would probably take longer to find everything than to reload it. If you didn't clear every reference to hardware and drivers out of the system, it is highly likely that it will cause problems down the line which will be extremly difficult to troubleshoot. Think of a clean install as a cheap insurance policy.
