  • Service pack (windows xp = office xp !?)

    Hail!

We all know about what microsft did with the windows xp service pack, and the illegal keys... Now my question is, is that the reason why i cant install the office xp service pack 1 !? is it the same problem ? The office xp service pack wont install if it finds a illegal key ? i think im not the only who cant install the office xp service pack... and slipstreaming is too "stange" to me

Yes OfficeXP SP1 has the same sort of thing as WinXP SP1 - it won't install over the infamous leaked "corporate" edition. There are ways around it.

This must be something new. I downloaded Office XP service packs 1 & 2 the day they came out. Both installed perfectly in both my legal copy of XP Office and the common &%#$@$&# version. Friends have had the same problem as this thread, and I gave them a CD of my service packs. These installed fine.
I guess the early bird gets the good worm?
