  • Windows 7 Search issue

    Hello,
I have noticed recently that when I press "see more results" after doing a windows search the whole window disappears along with the search results. I used to be able to press "see more results" and there would be a deeper search. Sometimes this would come up with the item I was searching for. Does anybody know what might be going on?
    Thanks, gordoncanda

    Re: Windows 7 Search issue

I have had numerous problems with Windows 7 Search. I found it extremely ineffective when I made it search for a file I had on my desktop. The Search returned "No items match your query". I hear there are several third-party search utility out there which can help perform better searches. I recently blogged about Swift Search How to Search Files at Insane Speeds in your Computer - FixNow Support

Its incredibly fast and returns results in under a few seconds. But, it does not search within a document, like searching for a word within a Word document. But, its still a neat utility.

I am not sure why you're getting that error, but I recommend to all that they switch to a better Search utility than Windows Search. Swift Search has been my favorite.

Thanks for your reply. I have started using Effective Search, but I will try Swift Search as well.
