    pagefile necessary?

    i'm running winxp pro on an amd 1700+ and 512mb 2700 ddr. i was wondering out of curiousity if a hard disk pagefile was necessary. would the o/s boot without one? can winxp survive without it? also, i'm wondering because i'd like to save the cpu from bothering w/ accessing my disk.

    The OS will boot, additionally there are some security issues that are resolved through the use of a RAMdisk as info is not written to the HDD
    The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.

      Has anyone tried this software?? Did it cause problems?? How much did it bump up performance??
