  • Can't delete a file?

I downloaded a movie file but I cannot seem to delete it. It says that another process is using it...but I can't see to figure out what it could be. I hvae restarted the computer a couple times...but I still haven't been able to delete it. Does anyone know what's going on?

Another "bug" of Windows XP - The file is actually being previewed in the background by Windows. Just wait a few extra seconds and then try to delete the file.

try deleting from the command line. click start then "run" type cmd. CD to the directory and delete the file. Use "cmd.exe" instead of "command.com" because "cmd" is much more powerfull then the old dos command

Oh wow, deleting from the command line worked perfectly! Who knew that would do it? Thanks a lot. :)

You could also probably get rid of it from safe mode.
