CD Burning Problems

Dear AsianImmortal,

thanks for the excellent XP guide.

I followed it, but have found that I can't transfer anything onto CD!

I recieve the message:

"There is no disk in the drive"

BUT there is a disk in the drive!

The computer manages to read the contents on the disk fine, but I get the above problem when I try to burn.

Your help would be grately appreciated.

Uh thanks, but the name is PersianImmortal.

What software are you using to burn to CD? I hope it's not the builtin XP burning, because if you followed my guides I turn that service off.

Try using Nero to start with, and give me any more details of things you've done recently which may impact on this.

Sorry about the name confusion.

I'm not clear what Nero is.

I just wiped my hard drive and followed your guide; that's the state of play with my machine.
