Ethernet Problems in Dell's Copy of XP

I work for a Fixed Wireless ISP my problem is every time I run into a Dell with XP one the built in NIC doesnt work, so we put in a Netgear FA311 in most cases this makes the pc work but I can only get around 200k a second downloads? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this issue.

You might try getting in touch with the folks at Dell and ask them if there are any known issues between their inbred NIC cards and the type of service you provide. I have several machines running on our department network that use these inbred networking solutions and we don't have any problems at all. Possibly a simple configuration setting can get it working properly?
