Drive Compression

I have a 2 gig hard drive on my other **** comp and I onlt have 156 mb left. If I compress the drive, do I lose anything? What does it do?

It would probably be a good idea to back up any important information first, but it shouldn't destroy your data. Of course, it has been several years since I last used this type of utility, so I don't know if you have enough free drive space to pull it off. Might check into this little tidbit first. :)
