If ur copy of WinXP is illegal, I would strongly suggest that you go out and buy a legit copy, cuz MS did a damn good job making WinXP and they deserve to be paid for it. The whole software activation thing is a real pain in the a$$ though :thumbs do . Still, when a company makes a good product like WinXP they deserve to get paid for it, so that they can make more good stuff. Piracy sucks :mad:

i do have a copy of winxp, it comes wiht my dell laptop.

dell not only install winxp on my laptop, it also installed alot craps.

it takes alot space. i can uninstall those softs.. but sitll leave alot junks on my laptop.

i just wnat xp isntalled, thats why i got a CD online. M$ do get paid for it.

No, dont switch back. If you have XP stick with it you'll soon find its much better than 98 (alot more stable, esp. in games).

You will notice there are several tweak guides in the sticky threads at the top of this forum. Go through them and you should be able to "clean up" WinXP so that it runs fast and efficiently.
