Asrock N68c-S UCC Audio Problem

I just bought this mobo and I noticed that after installing the drivers, no output's coming out of the speakers. The player and the configuration soft for the soundcard seem to show that everything's fine but I ain't deaf...
The sound's enabled in bios and the jack's connected where it should be, is it a problem with the mobo? Should I return it?

Please check the audio output setting in "Control Panel -> Sound" then try again.

Thanks for the reply but I already did that both on 7 and XP and still the problem persists.
