Question for Sean of Asrock support or owners of Asrock P45 boards

Hello:
I need a new 775 motherboard fast. One with a PCI-e X16 slot for my 9800GT video card, and a X8 slot for my hardware RAID card. I was about to purchase the P45X3, but I read the manual, and now I'm not sure it will handle both boards. The specs say there's a x16 and an x8 slot, but the online manual says different. It says if the crossfire card in one position, BOTH slots are X8, but rotated the other way, the upper slot is X16 and lower X1. Is this a error in the manual? What if I remove the crossfire card? Do the slots then work at X16 and X8?

I think I've figured out the answers to my questions based on the responses to my questions in another thread. Still I'm surprised that 75 people viewed this post, and not a one offered any response.
