How important is it have memory from the compatible memory list?
I recently purchased a z68 extreme3 gen 3 motherboard with memory from G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) Ripjaws X Series Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM before I learned about memory compatibility. The board would boot up with one memory module, but if I put two in (in any slot; b1-b2 or a2-b2, etc) it won't boot.
Do I need to get different memory?
Thanks
