  • ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) RAM Slots

    November 13, 2011

    Dear Guys/Gals,

I Have another question about my ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) based build.

The Owners Manual does not say which slots, White or Blue, to put

RAM sticks into if you're installing just two. So, which is it?

Thanks in advance for any help you can be.

    I await your replies.

The way I see it, it doesn't matter as far as you use the same color for both sticks.

      When I found this:

      http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/ASRock-P67-Pro3-Motherboard/1177"

The ASRock P67 Pro3 has four memory sockets and, since DDR3 memorymodules can now be found in capacities up to 8 GB, you can have up to 32GB with this motherboard, if you use four 8 GB modules. The first and third sockets are white, while the second and fourth are blue.In order to achieve the maximum performance you should install two or fourmemory modules in order to enable dual-channel architecture. When onlytwo modules are used, install them in the white sockets, otherwise yourcomputer won't turn on."

I E-Mailed ASRock and Eric Lin replied: Insert the memory into the white dim slots.
