    Extreme 7 Gen 3 MB and Corsair Ram

    I am purchasing my new ASROCK Extreme 7 Gen 3 motherboard this week.

    This is the ram I am looking to purchase at the same time: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9

    Am I going to have issues with this ram??

    Have you confirmed with Corsair that they have tested the memory kit with your motherboard?
    Some memory manufacturers have a detailed motherboard/memory compatibility listing for each memory kit on their web site.
    Another option is to email your question to their tech support people.
    Hopefully a forum member has the same hardware setup and can comment on their results.

    Due to the memory's tall heat spreaders, you might have clearance problems with an aftermarket cpu heatsink.

    Let us know if they say that the memory has been tested with your motherboard.

      That's the reason I am posting here. I sent ASROCK an email asking about this memory and they never answered me back. It's been close to a week. Very frustrating.

      According Corsair's website it supposed to work. I am just looking for confirmation.

        if you cant wait on a reply just go off what corsair suggested,make sure you can return/replace for another make/model of ram if you run into any incompatibility issues,i think you will be fine though

          I am running Corsair 16GB (4x4096MB) CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP SVART - Inet.se on the Extreme 7 Gen 3 board. I think its the same type of ram, just the low profile version.
