I am running Windows Home Server 2011 on a ASRock A785GM-LE, Bios v1.30
Everything has been doing fine, until WD replaced a 2TB HDD that had gone bad with a 2.5TB drive. The OS is supposed to be able to handle drives this size, and the other, smaller AF drives I have work fine, so I think that's not the problem, but All WHS sees is 280GB. I was able to format the drive into two partitions on my Win7x64 PC, and it's working on the server, but the drive still appears as 280GB.
I can't find anything on ASRock's site, or Microsoft that gives me any clue as to whether this can be fixed or not. According to Microsoft, there shouldn't be any issue at all (other than not being able to use a volume over 2TB). From what I've read, the OS should have seen it correctly, and split into two sub 2TB partitions automatically. I didn't even want this so called "upgrade" drive, but now I have to figure out a way to use it.
Any ideas?
