Z68M-ITX/HT CIR not recognized Windows 7 Home Premium

I was very careful to install the USB block half on the USB and half on the CIR block per the instructions and plugged in the remote receiver USB dongle but when running the Nuvotron CIR driver install, it states CIR not found.

Could my receiver be DOA?

Try moving the dongle to a different port. It will only work on one of the two ports that header feeds.
For example, on my nMediapc case I have the front USB ports running from that header. The dongle will only work on one of them. If that's not clear post back or PM me and I will try to explain better.

You were right! The board did not recognize either USB on the front of case (case used an unusual block adapter), I found an old USB block designed to go in back of case and dongle works in one of those USB ports.
