Is there a fix for the voltage drop on the 3.3V rail? Can i beef up the trace with a piece of wire?

Not on something as complex as a mother board is, they have multiple layers and conductors we can't see. Plus it's probably not the trace, but a regulator, inductor, or capacitor that is out of spec or defective. Power circuits like these are adjusted to work with the trace resistance. I don't think it is worth voiding your warranty to do that either.

There's another recent post about this issue in the forum, so maybe (Ha!) this is a known issue to ASR, and you can RMA your board.

Are there any X58 Extreme6 users still out there that can check their MOBO for a similar problem?

      Thanks

It is always advisable to use skilled professional to resolve motherboard related issues. Can you contact the manufacturer service center, if it is in warranty period? Motherboard has many complex components on it. It requires proper handling like using antistatic belt, etc.
