AMD FX 8120 Cores missing.

I just installed my new FX processor and its only showing i have 6 cores. I flashed the bios twice to see if this would fix it and it didn't. In the bios it shows that i can only select 6 of the cores. Also shows that i only have 6 cores in device manager, msconfig, and task manager. I am running the 970 Extreame3 AM3+ board and using the FX 8120 8 core processor. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you buy the chip new? If not double check the text on the chip itself - and it if it is an 8120 and you've exhausted all options in the bios (including core unlock) - then RMA it with AMD for a replacement.
