  • ASROCK z77 audio driver install problem

    Hi guys,

So I did my own PC build with this as my motherboard. I installed windows 8 and everything was going fine. Then windows crashed and gave me a bluescreen and i had to reinstall windows.
After the reinstall it will not detect the audio device at all.

I tried to install this: file:///C:/Users/daniel/Downloads/Realtek_Win7-64_Win7_Vista64_Vista_XP64_XP(6559).zip

When it gets to the end of the install i get this Click image for larger version

Name:	realtek driver crash.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	166.7 KB
ID:	756174

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

? "No Audio Output Device is installed" after Windows update

Is this the same driver you used the first time you installed Win8?
If not, did this come from Asrock or from Realtek?

(You didn't give enough information to properly identify your board.)

Re: ASROCK z77 audio driver install problem

The driver you listed, Realtek_Win7-64_Win7_Vista64_Vista_XP64_XP(6559).zip is not a Windows 8 driver. You said you are using Windows 8.

The Realtek audio driver download file for my Z77 EX 4 board for Windows 8 is: Realtek_Win8-64_Win8_Win7-64_Win7_Vista_XP64_XP(c6699).zip, or listed as Realtek high definition audio driver ver:6699

As therube said, we don't know which one of the seven Z77 Extreme boards you have.
