This is my first build and the motherboard does not recognized my HP L17170 monitor. A message flash on the monitor "No input device" then the HP L17170 monitor goes to sleep.
I connected another monitor (HPw1907) that has both VGA and DVI. When I connect the VGA cable directly onboard it gives me the same message. I remove the video card and plug in the VGA and it was a black screen, but when I connect to the DVI-D it works.
I know that both monitors work on VGA but for some reasons it will not work with or without the EVGA GEForce GT 520-01G-P#-1526-KR Video Card. I bought VGA cables. DVI monitor was used as a tester I need my HP L17170 (vga monitor) to work. I have no onboard audio, but works with external speakers. From the CD I installed onboard audio and some other drivers, now I have the following problems

Video Card: EVGA GEForce GT 520-01G-P#-1526-KR Video Card, 1GB, DDR3,
PCI-Express 2.0 (x.16), Dual DVI-I, Mini-HDMI, DirectX 1, Single-Slot
Ports: PCIE USB 3.0 7 Port Adapter (5x external + 2 x Internal ports)
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k cpu @3.40Ghz
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR 16gbxl (compatible with Z77) dual channel memory mode

What version of Windows are you using, and is it a new installation, a clone from another PC, or what?

When you install a video card like your EVGA 520, you must select in the BIOS what video source you will be using. In the Advanced section, North Bridge Configuration, the Primary Graphics Adapter must be set to PCI Express when using the 520 graphics card, or Onboard for the CPU's IGP.

So your Asus Z77 board "stopped recognizing" the HPL1710 monitor (which exists and has been around for a while, at least back to 2008) and your new ASRock Z77 board also does not work with that monitor, and apparently the 520 video card.

I sounds like the HPL1710 monitor is dead. It will turn on but cannot receive a signal, so goes into sleep mode. You need to try that monitor on another PC that works for a test.

So you had a Windows installation from your Asus Z77 board, used that with the ASRock Z77 board, and "From the CD I installed onboard audio and some other drivers, now I have the following problems".

Only you know what drivers from the Asus board are still there, plus "other drivers" from I assume the ASRock board's CD. Your Windows installation (Win 7 or 8 or both?) is messed up with who knows what going on.

You need to install Windows 7 again, and/or try doing a Refresh of the Windows 8 installation, and just install the ASRock board's drivers and software.
