Re: can this cooler fit my Mainboard?

    Welcome to the forum.

Will it fit your board? Hard to say.

From ARCTIC | Freezer 11 LP | Silent Intel Low Profile CPU Cooler:
    • Compatibility, Intel Socket: 1150, 1155, 1156, 775
    • Dimensions: 115 (L) x 106 (W) x 53 (H) mm

From page 1 in the bit-tech.net review:

This would be extremely easy, however the mounting plates are so large and sit so close to the motherboard that we had to do some serious persuasion to get it to squeeze past our test motherboard's VRMs.

Another millimetre or two and we wouldn't be writing this, so make sure your motherboard has plenty of free room round the CPU socket, and keep your receipts just in case.

At 53mm high, it's a couple of millimetres taller than a reference cooler for the likes of the Core i5-3570K, with the side extending around 5mm or so outside the dimensions of the Intel cooler.
Keep in mind that they installed the cooler in an 1155 socket motherboard, but it looks like a very tight fit on their motherboard.

A web search using: Arctic Freezer 11 LP review includes links to other major sites that have reviewed the cpu cooler and they might be able to provide more information about fitment issues. I think that your best way to proceed is to download and print one of pictures below where the printed picture can be used to make an accurate life-sized cardboard template to see if looks like it will install without problems on your motherboard.

You can see that your motherboard has several components that are very close to the outlined area reserved for the cpu cooler.

If you contact Arctic tech support you can ask them if they have done a test fit of the cooler on your motherboard model.

Good luck and let us know how you make out with this cooler or if you find another cooler that fits.

Re: can this cooler fit my Mainboard?

thanks a lot friend but i ended up buying Alpine 11 Rev.2 which fits perfectly.
i know someone who got the freezer 11 and he had all the requirements on his board for it and the cooler didn't fit the heatsink wasn't touching the cpu
so my advice to anyone looking to buy this cooler to check first if it will fit.

Re: can this cooler fit my Mainboard?

You're welcome and thank you for your feedback.

How does the Alpine 11 Rev.2 compare with the stock Intel cpu cooler's noise and cooling performance?
