Hey folks,
as Google isn't really helpful, nor are the manuals at asrock.com (Block Diagrams anybody?) i hope somebody can tell me how the PCIe 2.0 Lanes (from the Z97) are distributed on these ASRock boards:
* Z97 Pro4
* Fatal1ty Z97 Professional
* Z97 OC Formula
I am especially interested in which of these boards will allow me to utilize:
* the M.2 slot at PCIe 2.0 x2
* a PCIe 2.0 x1 Slot
* a PCIe 2.0 x4 Slot (in the 2.0 x16 Slot obviously)
simultaneously without any throttling/limitations.
I am aware that ASRock shares the M.2 Socket with SATA Express, respectively two SATA3 (6G) ports, so thats nothing i am concerned about.
I am mainly interested if one of the 2.0 Slots gets clocked down if a card is installed in one or another (x1 or x4 respectively)
