First of all, let me say how thankful I am to find this forum. The ASUS specific (for my motherboard) forum is essentially inactive. There are dozens of months to years posts on it that have never been replied to.
I'm just an old retired guy, with no technical background but pretty mechanical, that wanted a new and fast PC, so I built one memorial day weekend 2012. Besides the ASUS board, Intel Ivy Bridge 3547K CPU and a Kingston 120 GB SSD. The Intel integrated 4000 graphics have been all I've needed.
I flashed my BIOS to v1780 quite a while ago, it is now up to v2105. Do you subscribe to the recommendation that if everything is working, don't update? My second request is if someone could/would explain the procedure to copy my motherboards settings and how to restore them if I had to.
Thank you!
