After you load optimized defaults and save/apply and reboot (And go back to set Disk settings if needed after another reboot) then load windows, the backup BIOS will then be flashed to update Qflash. Please do this in that order before you overclock, that way the backup BIOS can be updated safely
I think when you go back it will not flash the backup again, you will just keep using the newer Qflash. Not sure on this version, I have seen it go both ways.
F10a coming tonight for UD4P
Hey LSD, I already flashed to F9 once it released, but my backup bios is still on the old F6 bios which it came with
I used Q-Flash, like everytime, and it gave the successful message, press any key to continue and ESC to reset, did you try to flash to F9 yourself and it flashed the backup bios? anyone can confirm latest f9 ud4p or f8 ud5 flashed his backup bios automatically?
Ahh, but did you pay attention to what I said last about how that works?
You need to flash, reboot, load optimized, reboot to BIOS, set any disk settings you need to ONLY and save/apply/reboot and let windows load. At the IRQ Screen after this is where it should then happen if it is going to. It will not work if you may overclock changes, ect instead of doing like I said.
Of course since the change logs are translated it very well could mean that they just added BACK in the option to flash the backup via the hotkey's instead of it automatically being done. As this feature was removed in a few of the previous beta's
Yes LSD, I always follow these instructions, it didn't give me any option to flash my backup bios, I didn't press any hotkeys, just flashed like your guide say.
I already see that JZ got the new bios F10a and others ex58 that fix the USB problem, waiting for Stasio to put them :)
He is not sharing the BIOS right now so we have to wait....
Do you know the hotkey to flash the backup? Like I said that may be all it meant, that hotkey was activated again and not that it will happen automatically.
You say a new bios came out today to fix F9 usb issue? Will this be another beta bios or will they replace F9 on their site with a new F9 or an F10 that fixes the usb issue?

it will be F10a for the EX58-UD4P, the bios is already out and already confirmed that it fixed the G15/19 usb problem, but till now the bios isn't available for public, I don't know why
I don't mind them spending a little more time to make sure it's right and not causing some other kind of annoying bug. But I will stick with f9c until it's clear it'd ok.
